The Association was incorporated as a not-for-profit in the State of Illinois on August 20, 1976. The Internal Revenue Service recognizes the Association as a 501(c)(3) organization. In 1983, the Association adopted the name Artists Showcase West for its annual concert series.

The Downers Grove Concert Association is governed by a Board of Trustees. All Trustees are volunteers, and no Trustee receives a salary, honorarium, or other remuneration for services rendered to the Association. The President is the Chief Executive Officer. The Association does not employ any paid staff.

The Board of Trustees incorporates many diverse talents and includes

• and other enthusiastic volunteers
  from Downers Grove and surrounding communities.
