The St. Petersburg Quartet took 1st Prize in the All-Soviet Union String Quartet Competition to launch their career.

In 2007 they opened the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center's String Quartet Series. This year they open our 63rd Season with a program including Brahms' Clarinet Quintet.
